'Jessica Jones' Season 2 News: New Comics Expected
With a second season of "Jessica Jones" already set, fans are hoping to learn more about what the Marvel hero will be up against now that Kilgrave has been defeated.
It was recently confirmed by Netflix and Marvel that the newest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe will continue appearing on the small screen for at least another season. While there is limited news regarding what to expect, it was stated that Jessica's biggest nemesis will still be present in her life.
Even though Jessica was able to take down Kilgrave in the finale of "Jessica Jones" Season 1, it was stated that Jessica's trauma from her history with the villain will continue affecting her life. With that, fans are wondering how Jessica will go from here.
Meanwhile, there were also recent news hinting at the possibility of continuing Jessica Jones' story in the comics. As reported by io9, the editor of Marvel, Tom Brevoort, teased the possibility of the matter during the C2E2 panel.
He said, "Without saying anything, Brian Bendis in particular has been having an itch to get back to the character and he's walked me through what the next storyline would be and it's awesome. Once he's got 'Civil War II' off his back, it's not impossible that we'd say lets do a Jessica book, whether it's 'Jessica Jones' or 'Alias' or 'The Pulse' of we come up with another name for it."
With that, fans of "Jessica Jones" can prepare for a satisfying time ahead for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as comics. It was also confirmed that another character close to Jessica Jones will receive their own show on Netflix. It was said that Luke Cage will be having his own standalone series. He will be joining Daredevil and Jessica Jones in Hell's Kitchen.
