Josh Dallas Expresses Joy Over New Son, Name Still to Be Revealed

Josh Dallas and wife Ginnifer Goodwin welcomed their first son over the weekend. Dallas took to Twitter on Tuesday to update fans about his son and wife and stated that the infant is the couple's "favorite person."

"Thanks for all the well wishes about our new baby boy," Dallas tweeted. "We are in LOVE! He's our favorite person."

That was all that was said by the new father; the couple has yet to reveal the baby's name or any photograph. Goodwin and Dallas are known for being rather private and choose to do things on their own terms. No one knew they were together for quite some time and they wed in a very intimate ceremony before letting the public in on the secret.

The couple met on the set of the hit ABC series "Once Upon a Time," where they play Prince Charming and Snow White, a fairytale couple married in real life.

"It hit me like a blinding light," Dallas told People magazine after announcing their engagement. "I thought, 'I'm in trouble now.'"

The two married in April, and it was quickly evident that Goodwin was pregnant. While never issuing a formal statement, the writers on "Once Upon a Time" managed to conceal the pregnancy until the very end. Finally, though, they revealed that Goodwin's character was also pregnant and in the finale, delivered a baby boy named Neil. Now it seems that real life is following suit, and in similar fashion, the world is waiting to know the new baby's name.

"Naming a child though, with the last name of 'Dallas,' is a little more complicated," Goodwin told Jimmy Kimmel in April. "Not a first name that begins with a 'D' because it gets porny … and nothing geographical 'cause it sounds like an airport."

The actress also revealed details about the wedding that took place in California just days after "Once" wrapped for the season. There were only 30 guests or so to witness the nuptials, and Goodwin described the day as the "most stress-free, relaxing, beautiful day."

"We're both Southern, so I was literally barefoot and pregnant at our wedding," she joked. "I was afraid I'd fall over."
