Along with the villain, fans also got a look into Mowgli's life as he was raised by a group of wolves. It hinted at the struggle that he will face, now that Shere Kahn is in the picture. It was stated that Shere Kahn will disapprove of Mowgli's stay in the jungle as it could turn him into a dangerous being. Because of this, Mowgli will be forced to run away, which will lead him to his journey. Mowgli's new adventure is expected to introduce him to several characters such as Baloo who will be voiced by Bill Murray, Kaa the giant snake who will be voiced by Scarlett Johansson, and King Louie the orangutan who will be voiced by Christopher Walken.

In addition, Indian actress Freida Pinto is expected to take on the role of Mowgli's mother. During an interview with First Post, Pinto stated,"I read The Jungle Book and watched the TV series in India growing up, and for me, to finally be part of the film that reminds me so much of my childhood is just amazing."

Pinto also expressed her excitement for viewers to watch the film once it releases. She added, "It's one of those films that I feel, no matter what age group you are, you're going to enjoy that film, and I feel like it's been a while since I've done something like that, because most of my films have not been good enough for children. A little too intense, so I'm very happy to finally be doing a film that can be (watched by kids)."

"The Jungle Book" is expected to hit theaters by Apr. 15.
