However, Gomez did not say anything about a rekindled love as she recently talked about the painful breakup that she endured. According to Inquisitr, Gomez said in a recent interview with LOOK Magazine that the split was not only "unfair" but it was also "painful" on her part.

"I thought the public perception of me was so wrong and that so much that was being said about me was unfair and painful," she said, adding that she did make mistakes but she isn't allowing the past to get through to her.
"I feel confident and [in] control now...I am 23 years old and figuring out my life," she said. Obviously, she has grown up over the years and has become a person that people around the world now adore. She also said feels empowered and is evolving into a person that she feels good about.
Gomez's recent interaction with Bieber on social media sent "Jelena" fans in a frenzy, with many suggesting that they may be patching things up but are just opting to keep the public from knowing the status of their relationship.
Earlier last month, Gomez told W Magazine that she was tired of talking about her relationship and breakup with Bieber. She clarified that she's concerned about his health and well-being but she just doesn't want to talk about her ex anymore.
However, her recent statements say otherwise. It is unclear if the two are slowly getting back together but many fans are looking forward to the former lovers' part two romance.
