Kandi Burruss Reveals Why She Shares Pre-Marital Drama With The World
Kandi Burruss is revealing why she chose to showcase her struggles leading up to her marriage to television producer Todd Tucker.
Burruss has been documenting her relationship with Tucker on the Bravo series "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" and now fans will see all of the highs and lows that led up to her wedding day in her spinoff series, "The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Kandi's Wedding Special."
While fans of the 37-year-old singer and producer will witness drama before her marriage including issues with Tucker signing a prenuptial agreement and the bride and groom's mother fighting, Burruss is speaking up about her decision to document the less than great moments for fans.
"I just do me. I just put myself out there. It's reality TV," she said on the Russ Parr radio show. " It's supposed to be real. I'm just myself and either you like it or you don't."
Joyce Jones, known as "Mama Joyce" on the Bravo reality television show, has vehemently disagreed with her singer-songwriter daughter's decision to marry television producer Tucker. Despite accusing Tucker of being an opportunist and unfaithful to his fiancee, Mama Joyce appeared with some "Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast members at Burruss' wedding.
Burruss gushed about her husband's decision to be so patient leading up to the wedding.
"I don't know if I would have been able to handle it quite as well as he has," Burruss said on the "Russ Parr Morning Show." "I have to commend him for being so patient."
While a trailer for the new series will give fans a glimpse of their issues with the prenup, Burruss revealed the origin of the issue to the Tom Joyner Morning Show.
"He always said that he would sign it, but I guess after he had met with his attorney they were bringing up stuff that they felt like was unfair. It wasn't anything to do with the money part," Burruss said on the radio show previously. "My attorney had added some things … that would normally be in a will … It was some extra stuff."
