Kate Middleton News: Duchess Amused By Prince George's New Obsession With Air Cadets
Ever since she married Prince William, Kate Middleton has become a household name everywhere around the world, and just recently, she once again took the media's attention after she revealed what her son would like to become when he's older.
According to Vanity Fair, the Duchess of Cambridge told Lucinda Conder during the 75th anniversary of the Royal Air Force Cadets that Prince George has a dream of joining the cadet corps. "He is now obsessed with the air cadets and wants to join. We are going to have to push that one when he gets to age 12," Kate reportedly told the 19-year-old.
It doesn't come as a surprise that the little Prince, who recently started attending Montessori school, is one who has an obsession for the skies and its flying objects. After all, his father, Prince William, loves to fly.
Sunday's event was Princess Kate's first solo engagement ever since she took over Prince Philip's post as the organization's Honorary Air Commandant. Prince Philip stepped down from the position after more than 60 years of service, giving the Princess the honors of being the first lady to take over the cadet corps.
Aviation is something dear to The Duke and Duchess' hearts and it is understandable that one of them takes over the post. The RAF Air Cadets are aged 12 to 19, and at the moment, there are 42,000 who are undergoing training to one day become someone like Prince William. Hopefully, in the future, the young Prince will join the forces that grace the sky during rescue operations.
Born George Alexander Louis, Prince George of Cambridge is third in line to the throne. He will succeed Queen Elizabeth II, grandfather Prince Charles, and finally his dad. His birth, July 22, 2013, marked one of the most talked-about and publicized in the history of the royal family. He was baptized at the Chapel Royal in St. James' Palace with other royals and big names, including Hugh Grosvenor, Duke of Westminster, as his godparents.
