Kate Middleton News: The Duchess Did Some Holiday Shopping Plus New Hairstyle
Kate Middleton has put off her busy schedule aside, and went out to do some shopping this holiday season, just like what regular people do. The duchess was spotted doing some Christmas shopping at Peter Jones in Chelsea last Friday, and it seems like all is set since she was seen leaving the department store with a smile, after an hour.
According to the Daily Mail UK, Kate, who was wearing a checkered coat and knee-high boots, was seen carrying a big shopping bag and a hand bag on both hands, while a tablecloth is tucked under her arms. Her followers wonder if these are gifts for her two young children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, or just part of their family's preparations for their Christmas celebration.
This was not the first time that Kate went out to shop for Christmas, since she and Prince George already went Christmas tree shopping earlier this month. According to Us Magazine, the mother and son went to Fakenham Garden Centre to pick their tree for their home in Norfolk, England. A source told the website that the little prince got excited with all the things he saw at the store. "George wanted everything he saw," the source said. In the end, Kate and George went home with a tree and a few Christmas ornaments, "including a felt penguin."
This will be Princess Charlotte's first Christmas celebration, and George's third. The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, said that his son is now excited to celebrate the festivities this season. "My George will be bouncing around like a rabbit!" Prince William said.
Meanwhile, fans of the ever-stylish Kate noticed that the princess recently chopped a few inches of her long hair, and is now sporting a long bob. Richard Ward, Kate's longtime hair stylist, told People that the princess decided to opt for a more practical do, which is now called "The Royal Lob."
With several events to attend weekly, not to mention taking care of her two kids, the new hairstyle is helping Kate save time to prepare each day. "It's much easier to look after and takes half the time to blow dry," Ward explained. Fans definitely agree that the look is more versatile, but is still sophisticated and glamorous.
