Kelly Osbourne Weight Loss Journey Began After Suicidal Thoughts

Kelly Osbourne's weight loss journey began after a night of suicidal thoughts. The famous daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne has struggled with her weight her entire life but is now happy, healthy, and encouraging others to be their best selves.

"It's just that I didn't want to change because I cocooned myself in this little bubble of self medicating and numbing myself," Osbourne told the host of the "Lorraine" show. "And I can't lie. I thought, 'If I just take a couple more of these I might now wake up tomorrow, it will all be done, who cares. I woke up the next day and was like, 'You actually thought that about yourself. You need to sort that out.' And I told my mum and that day I was in rehab."

The rehab helped a great deal, and Osbourne was able to focus on herself and how to stay happy and, more importantly, healthy. New doors opened and the star was finally able to take advantage of her fame and further her own career.

"Once I got my head together, everything just started to fall into place. 'Dancing With The Stars' came up, I met Louis. He changed my life. I didn't think I'd make it to 28. All the things that have gone on in the last couple of years … it's been insane. A lot of it sucked, but I'm telling you, hard work pays off," she added.

"It has been a complete journey. People, for some reason, think this happened overnight and it hasn't. It has been almost four years I've been working on this and I stand by what I say, you have to get your mind in the right place before you ever start to change your body," Osbourne previously told the United Kingdom's series "Daybreak." "If you aren't happy with who you are, you will never be happy with yourself whether you are skinny or not."

"I had to learn to love myself. I started to realize I should look after myself a bit better. One pound started to drop, then five pounds, and I thought, 'This is addicting!' There is no secret. It's working out and eating right. It's become a part of my everyday life," she told "Lorraine."

Osbourne is one of the co-hosts of E! TV's "Fashion Police" along with Joan Rivers, Giuliana Rancic and George Kotsiopoulos. The show airs Friday nights at 10:00 p.m. ET on E! TV.
