Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date Rumors: New 'Kingdom Hearts' Game May Arrive Before Christmas
Fans of the hit game series from Square Enix (previously Square), 'Kingdom Hearts,' may have an early Christmas gift this year with the latest installment of the game finally being released. According to The Latino Post, 'Kingdom Hearts III' may finally arrive this December.
The website added that the new game is now on its final stages of production, which might make it possible for a December release. The last game from the franchise, 'Kingdom Hearts II,' was released almost ten years ago, and since then, fans have been waiting patiently for a long time for its follow-up.
According to other reports, there were rumors that 'Kingdom Hearts III' was supposed to be published for the PlayStation 3, but did not push through. Reports explained that it might be because Square Enix wanted to polish their skills in creating other 'Kingdom Hearts' game titles first, before continuing the franchise with 'Kingdom Hearts III.'
In the upcoming game, Disney fans will see a mash-up of the movie studio's recent major blockbusters like 'Big Hero 6,' 'Tangled,' and the ever popular 'Frozen.'. According to Movie Pilot, new worlds will also be added to the game, which Sora will have to explore, like those from 'Wreck-It-Ralph,' and 'The Princess and the Frog.' The report also added that the new game may include worlds from some of the Pixar movies, like 'The Toy Story' series.
Fans are also curious to know if they will see Sora bearing a keyblade that transforms to a lightsaber, since Disney has now purchased Lucasfilms in 2012. Gamers already saw another movie like 'Pirates of the Carribean' being incorporated in the series, and players are excited to see a possible 'Star Wars' and 'Kingdom Hearts' mash-up.
It is still not confirmed yet whether 'Kingdom Hearts III' will really be released this December, and fans can only hope they can get the new game in time for as their Christmas "gift."
