Konami Reveals How to Unlock 'Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain' Secret Nuclear Event
"Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" would host a secret nuclear game, and developer Konami has revealed how players can unlock the event.
Teamwork will be the key that will help unlock the hidden nuclear event of "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain," game developer Konami revealed recently. Details about the event are scant, but Konami Japan said players have to meet very strict conditions to qualify for it, according to Wall Street OTC.
The hidden event called "The Secret Nuclear Disarmament Event" will introduce new nuclear weapons in the game. So far, none of the fans who have been playing "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" have been able to unlock it successfully, but Konami is doing them a favor by unveiling the steps to trigger it, Latin Post reports.
There are four conditions that players need to achieve to unlock the nuclear event. First, one has to achieve a nuclear disarmament on an entire server. Second, players have to complete Mission 31. Third, a player needs to either own a nuclear weapon or work on one. Fourth, a player needs to achieve "nuclear proliferation," and this can only be done with the neutralization of all the nuclear weapons on a server, the report details.
Since nuclear disarmament of an entire server is close to impossible, Konami explained that this is only applicable to regional servers, the report adds.
The nuclear event of "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" will automatically begin after a player achieves all the four aforementioned conditions, finishes a mission, and returns safely to base.
"If all four conditions are met, you will automatically trigger the secret nuclear disarmament event when you return to Mother Base of after you complete a main mission," the Post quotes Konami's note on the secret event.
Konami has been trying hard to get many players work together as one team to unlock an event and connect with its fans. The "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" secret nuclear event is only one of the developer's efforts to connect with its fans.
