Lamar Odom Updates: Lamar Is Now Doing Well, But Still on Dialysis Due to Kidney Failure

Lamar Odom has woken up from coma, and fans of the athlete are happy to hear that he is now doing well.

According to the Hollywood Life, the former NBA star's health is making steady improvements, despite suffering from multiple strokes. Lamar is reported to be breathing on his own, and "neurologically intact." He was now taken out of life support, and his blood pressure is fine. "So far, Lamar seems to be functioning normally without any signs of major mental or physical damage. It's still early, but everyone is cautiously optimistic," a source told the website.

While Lamar may appear to be doing a lot better, however, he is still not out of the woods because he's also suffering from kidney failure.

E! Online added that the 35-year-old basketball player is currently on dialysis. The website added that Lamar's kidneys' condition hinders him from getting completely healed. Family members are still hoping that Lamar can overcome this other hurdle.

Lamar's estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, was reported to stay on the athlete's side and making medical decisions, since he was brought at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. In a recent update from E! Online, the website reported that Kim Kardashian rushed back to Khloe's side, upon hearing the news that Lamar woke up. Kendall Jenner was also able to visit with her mom and sister, since she was in London earlier this week, when the news about Lamar broke out.

Lamar was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel, after he suffered from a drug overdose. According to reports, the former NBA Lakers and Clippers player had spent days doing drugs and women at the Dennis Hof's Love Ranch.

Lamar remains at the Sunrise Hospital for further tests and observation. He was visited by his former teammates, his two children, and their mother.

The Kardashian family made a statement that they will not post anything on social media during Lamar's health crisis, according to the Los Angeles Times.
