'Land of the Lustrous' Episode 6 Spoilers: Limits of Phos' New Legs to Be Tested in 'First Battle'

There is nothing Phos would love more than to be able to go on battles with their fellow gems against the Lunarians. And now, it seems that their dream is about to become a reality on the next episode of the Japanese action-fantasy anime series, "Houseki no Kuni (Land of the Lustrous)."

Although the previous episode saw another tragedy befall the weakest gem on land, it ultimately led to Phos acquiring a new pair of legs to replace the ones they lost after Ventricosus sold them to the Lunarians.

To make up for this betrayal, Ventricosus has left some agate shards, which was in turn made into Phos' new limbs. Additionally, their new agate legs have also given the now 300-year-old gem the ability to move nimbly on their feet, which will definitely be useful out in the battlefield.

And sure enough, the preview for the next episode aptly titled, "First Battle," teases Phos first battle experience as the Lunarians once again mount an attack. However, it also seems that things are not going to be so easy as Phos is also seen kneeling on the grass with a dazed look in their eyes, as though witnessing a rather unfavorable turn of events.

What is going to happen to Phos and their fellow gems? How intense will the Lunarian's offense be that even Master Kongo will have to be out there fighting alongside the gems? More importantly, how will Phos' first battle change their perspective about violence and about life in general?

"Land of the Lustrous" airs on Saturdays at 9:30 p.m. JST on AT-X and at 10 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX. It also airs on the same day at 11 p.m. JST on BS11 and late night at 2:38 a.m. JST on MBS.
