'Law & Order: SVU' Season 17 Episode 14 Spoilers: 'Chicago PD' Detectives Join Benson In Hunt For Escaped Murderers
NBC's hit police procedural drama TV series "Law And Order: Special Victim's Unit" Season 17 returns this week with a special crossover event that will see NYPD's own Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) working with the detectives from "Chicago PD" as both parties join hands in a hunt for two escaped murderers.
The promo trailer released by the network teases the action-packed 2-hour TV event. The "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" episode is titled "Nationwide Manhunt."
In the clip, an official public announcement was made, announcing a "multi-state manhunt" for two notorious convicts, Gregory Yates (Dallas Roberts) and Carl Rudnick (Jefferson Mays) who escaped from prison.
The highlight reel offered a glimpse as to how the infamous criminals made their way out of the tightly-locked facility. In one instance, a prison guard feels up a wall covered by a poster. It turns out that it was hollow on the other side and the hole is assumed to be where one of the fugitives escaped through.
The clip further featured Benson rounding up a throng of police operatives as she described the people in question as "intelligent," "charming," "and without conscience." Scenes flashed to show yet another string of gruesome killings which were probably done by the escapees while they were on the outside.
CPD's own Erin Lindsay (guest star Sophia Bush) and Antonio Dawson (guest star Jon Seda) can also be seen working with Benson's men. It seems like the two parties are more than ready to give it their all to bring these prisoners back to where they belong.
For those who missed it, Carl Rudnick was a medical examiner for the city of Manhattan who likes to cross-dress. He first appeared in "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" Season 16 Episode 8, which was titled "Spousal Privilege." Gregory Yates, on the other hand, was a serial killer, kidnapper, rapist, and arsonist who was first introduced in a "Chicago PD" episode called "The Number of Rats."
Don't miss the exciting "SVU/Chicago PD" crossover premiering this Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 9 p.m. on NBC.
