Leaked Benchmark Shows Unknown Microsoft Windows 10 Device With Snapdragon 820
A leaked benchmark may have revealed what Microsoft has in store for smartphone consumers in the coming year. According to a report in Tech Times, the device appeared in the GFXBench benchmark, indicating that the device will be powered by Qualcomm's latest processor, the Snapdragon 820. The device is named HP Falcon, which is said to be the codename of the device.
The report claims that this may be an unannounced Lumia device that Microsoft is planning to release in 2016. It may be the flagship phone of Microsoft's Lumia line of devices. The name of the device, according to the report, may be misleading though.
According to the benchmark, the device has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset under the hood. It also sports an Adreno 530 graphical processing unit which is capable of playing crisp videos and mobile games. While the RAM that is listed is only less than 1 GB, the report said that the device may merely be a prototype at this point, and it may still change.

The display that is listed is a 5.8-inch screen with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. The cameras that are listed are a 20-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 12-megapixel front-facing camera. Internal storage for the device is an odd 43 GB, but given that this may be a prototype, it is not strange.
While these reports claim that this may be the 2016 Microsoft Lumia flagship, there are other rumors pointing to the possibility that there may be another Windows 10 device in the making, like the highly-anticipated Surface Phone. While it is not yet known if this will replace the Lumia series, the Surface Phone is reportedly looking at an Intel SoC to power it, rather than the Snapdragon 820.
According to another report in Nokia Power User, both devices may likely be launched in the third quarter of 2016.
