'Legends of Tomorrow' Season 3 Spoilers: Legends to Face Off Against Julius Caesar

The CW recently released photos from the upcoming season 3 premiere titled "Aruba-Con." Obviously, from the title, the installment is set in Aruba, which is where Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell) had always wanted to take a vacation after all the mess is over, or so they thought.

After defeating the evil speedster Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher) and his "Legion of Doom," the Legends are set to face a lot of new threats that they created themselves, through the actions and decisions they made at the end of season 2.

Messing up the timeline in a major way when they interacted with the former versions of themselves in the previous season, the first enemy that the Legends are going to face in the season 3 premiere is Julius Caesar.

The new photos released by the network give the show's fans a new look at Simon Merrells as the ancient Roman Emperor, who is featured having an intense physical confrontation with Mick and Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) in Aruba.

To further show that time is really "broken," the ancient Romans with Caesar appear to be sporting modern sunglasses and drinking beer.

Apart from the spoiler-filled photos, there is also one of Sara and Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) having a serious conversation, Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) sporting a new suit and hairstyle while holding up a gun, and what seems to be an argument between Sara and Rip.

In other news, the show's executive producer, Phil Klemmer, recently talked about Rip's involvement in the Time Bureau, which had been teased to cause conflict between him and the Legends.

As reported by Comic Book, he explained that while the Legends work best as underdogs, and they end up saving the world somehow, there will always be someone or something that will remind them that they are not heroes. This time, it will be Rip.

"At the end of every season when the world doesn't end it means they succeeded in one sense. So, our challenge is how do we take their success and turn it into humiliation," Klemmer said. "Obviously, our Legends are total screw-ups, but it really helps to have confident people around to just provide that sort of comic foil for our guys," he went on to say.

He added: "That gave us the idea for 'what if Rip went back in time and started the new Time Bureau?' So, Rip comes back as basically the new boss, the new police chief, saying 'What are you guys doing?'"

DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" season 3 airs on Tuesday, Oct. 10, on The CW.
