LG G4 Rumors, Release Date: Upcoming Android Flagship Not Getting Snapdragon 810?

More rumors are coming about the LG G4 specs and release date. However, this time around, the rumor talked about the phone's chipset.

According to a report by Phone Arena, the new high-end flagship of the Korean manufacturer has once again appeared on GFXBench, and this time it showed some of its details.

In the report, the device will pack a 16MP primary camera that can shoot 4K UHD (Ultra High Definition) videos, and an impressive 8MP front camera that can handle selfies and video calls.

In addition, the Android device would also boast a 5.5-inch display with QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution, and the usual connectivity functions like GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, as well as other sensors.

However, what is most surprising in the alleged leaked specs is LG's chipset of choice.

For this particular model, the LG F500x, the G4 will apparently run on a Snapdragon 808 processor, and not the latest Snapdragon 810 version.

The Snapdragon 808 is a hexa-core chipset that runs on four Cortex-A53 cores, and two Cortex-A57 cores. The graphics department is handled by Qualcomm's Adreno 418, which is one edition below the Adreno 420.

Other specs include a 3GB RAM, a 32GB built-in storage, and the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop update.

Based on recent reports, the LG G4 will be announced later this month, which is a month earlier considering LG's previous flagship release date.
