Lindsay Lohan Allegedly Fires Sobriety Coach
Lindsay Lohan allegedly fired her sobriety coach after the end of filming for her new reality series, "Lindsay," on OWN. She hired her coach, Michael Cormier, after leaving rehab and stayed with him throughout the filming of her first season, but now that that is over, Cormier is reportedly gone.
"As soon as the cameras were packed up, Lindsay gave Michael the pink slip, and he hasn't heard from her since," a source close to production told Radar Online. "It was important for Lindsay to show the world while she was filming the reality show for OWN that she was sober. Having Michael there gave her a lot of credibility and support when she needed it."
Apparently there was a bit of friction between Michael and Lindsay, especially concerning her relationship with friend Gavin Doyle. Michael wanted Lindsay to distance herself from him, but they continued hanging out.
"Lindsay and Gavin were out until the wee hours of the morning at Art Basel parties on Wednesday and Thursday night. Lindsay and Gavin chain smoke everywhere they go," a source told Radar just last year. "Gavin was bragging to friends that they didn't go to sleep until after 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday."
Even Lindsay's father, Michael, was not keen of her friendship with Gavin.
"I have warned Gavin Doyle time and time again to stay away from Lindsay," he said. "He was always the one to weasel himself into her life at her most venerable state. While I have confidence in Lindsay, I don't in Gavin."
Lindsay has been successfully adapting to her new sober life, the subject of her reality series produced by and for OWN, Oprah Winfrey's network. Oprah wanted to work with Lindsay and help her get on her feet; she provided her with an apartment as part of the deal to film her every move. The two butted heads at first, but once Lindsay settled down and into the routine, things went well.
