The Kings will have been disappointed to have lost Game 5, but even more so to have failed to close things out in Game 6 which took place in Los Angeles in front of their home crowd.
That means the advantage now appears to have switched back to the Blackhawks – they have the momentum in their corner, and also get to play Game 7 on home ice at the United Center in Chicago. That home advantage could make all the difference in what is expected to be another tight match up today.
Whoever wins today will progress to the Stanley Cup 2014 Final, and will have the advantage of hosting Game 1 against the New York Rangers.
