Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Season 3: Mimi and Nikko's Tape Angers Stevie J; Waka Flocka Joins Cast (VIDEO)
"Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" is set to return for season 3 in coming weeks and a newly released trailer confirms the return of several original cast members and the addition of new characters.
Season 1 veterans Stevie J, his new wife Joseline Hernandez and his baby's mother MiMi Faust are all back for a new season of explosive drama, as are Erica Dixon, Lil Scrappy, Momma Dee, Karlie Redd, Benzino, Rasheeda and Kirk.
New additions Waka Flocka, his fiancée Tammy Rivera and hip hop producer Yung Joc will be introduced to viewers this season while recurring cast members Nikko, Ariane and Scrappy's love interest Bambi also make appearances.
"Yea I'm on it. My fiancée, she on it, so you know I'm backing her up 110%," Flocka – whose mother/manager Debra Antney also appears on the VH1 reality show - previously told 93.9 WKYS.
"They know not to play with me," he said about how he intends to handle the drama. "I'd go sit behind that metal for mines. But its not even about that ... The cameras can't make me say nothing I don't mean so I'm not worried about it."
Joc, who like Flocka is an Atlanta-based rapper, also spoke about joining the show during an appearance on BET's "106 & Park." He confirmed that his storyline includes Redd, who is Benzino's former love interest.
"Ladies and gentlemen, yes I am on Season 3 of Love & Hip Hop [Atlanta], my girl is Karlie Redd, so you know, y'all just gotta watch," he said.
"The best thing about Karlie Redd is I like the fact that she's a little throwed off and will jump off a building for me," the "Yeah Boy" rapper told Bossip.
As usual Faust and Stevie find themselves at odds but this time their discord is over a home video featuring the mother of one and her on-and-off boyfriend Nikko. On Monday unconfirmed reports claimed Faust and Nikko sold their tape to Vivid entertainment and it seems as though Stevie is none too pleased.
"I'll put all the money up for a lawyer to make sure my daughter's good," Stevie is heard telling Faust in what appears to be a dispute about their daughter.
"Stevie will make my life a living hell!" a sobbing Faust says in another scene.
Stevie and Faust are not the only ones clashing as viewers will see Rasheeda and Kirk dealing with drama stemming from his paternity test demands following the birth of their son Karter.
Scrappy and Bambi are faced with a pregnancy scandal as the rapper struggles to stay faithful while Benzino opens up after being shot by his nephew at his mother's funeral.
"Love & Hip Hop" Season 3 premieres Monday May 5th + 8/7c on the VH1 network.
