'Madam Secretary' Season 2 Spoilers: Elizabeth McCord to Pull Brother Out of Syria Amid ISIS Threat
"Madam Secretary" season 2 episode 6 will put Elizabeth McCord in a more heated situation when an American ISIS member kills an American aid worker deployed in Syria.
The said episode, titled "Catch and Release," will feature the souring relationship between ISIS and Elizabeth McCord's camp. The next episode of "Madam Secretary" will drive the U.S. Secretary of State to move for justice and redemption after a series of wrong decisions, according to the Latin Post.
Despite the discouragement caused by the death of the American aid worker at the hands of one of their own, Elizabeth will continue to aim for success in her mission. She will then recall all U.S. aid workers in Syria to give her maneuvering room for her next plan, the report details.
However, McCord will encounter another obstacle in the form of her brother Will (Eric Stoltz), who is still in Syria to provide aid to Syrians torn by the war. His presence alone in Syria puts his own life in danger because the ISIS will be targeting him next the moment they find out he is the Secretary of State's sibling.
Although Elizabeth and Eric are in constant disagreement, the sibling bond between them is still strong. Thus, Elizabeth will make sure that all the Americans working in Syria will be brought home safely. But the success of this mission is yet to be seen in the next "Madam Secretary" episode, Christian Today reports.
Meanwhile, Tim Daly's character Henry McCord will receive a call for help from Chris Petrovski's Dmitri Petrov. The latter will ask for his help in saving a friend named Ivan Kolashkov (Dennis Staroselsky), who has been recalled to Moscow. If Elizabeth's husband agrees to help Dmitri bail his friend out of the tricky problem, things could go south fast.
"Madam Secretary" season 2 episode 6 will air on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 8:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
