'Mafia 3' Demo Out For PC, PS4 and Xbox One; Full Game at Half Off until April
Publisher 2K wants interested players to try out their action-packed game "Mafia III" without its initial cost through a free trial demo that has been available since March 27 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One console owners.
The demo offers free gameplay for the first act of the game, which revolves around a bank heist sequence that will set the stage for "Mafia III's" story.
"Discover Lincoln's history with the mafia and witness the catalyst for this gritty tale of revenge against the Italian Mob," developer Hangar 13 announced in a blog post.

Moreover, if players are interested in purchasing the whole game to go on with the rest of the mission, "Mafia III" is being sold at 50 percent off until April 17. Players don't have to worry about their progress during the free trial since this will be saved and carried over to the full game after purchase.
The storage size of "Mafia III's" free trial is 24GB for PC, 25GB on Xbox One and 27GB for PS4 users.
In addition, 2K releases the first paid downloadable content expansion for the game, titled "Faster, Baby!" Those who got the $30 Season Pass or the Deluxe Edition of the game will get this DLC for free. For those who did not, the expansion can be purchased as a stand-alone for $15.
The "Faster, Baby!" DLC adds new gears, vehicles, several in-game enhancements, and a new story mission which starts with the murder of a civil rights leader who was investigating a local sheriff. As players progress throughout the story, new cars, gear and outfits will be unlocked.
"Mafia III" will have two more expansions after this, namely "Stone Unturned" and "Sign of the Tines," which are also included in the game's Season Pass for free.
Released last October 2016, "Mafia III" shipped over 4.5 million copies during its first week and won the Herman Melville Award for Best Writing in a Game from the New York Videogame Critics Circle in January 2017.
