Maksim Chmerkovskiy on Vanessa Lachey Feud: 'Things Were Never Bad'

It looks like all is well between "Dancing With The Stars" partners Vanessa Lachey and Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

During the Maxim Halloween Party held in Los Angeles last Saturday, the "Dancing With The Stars" professional dancer told reporters that there was never bad blood between him and his partner, Vanessa Lachey. "What drama? Things were never bad. They were great things. It's been a great season. It's a tough show," Chmerkovskiy says about the competition. "And when you're good enough to make it all the way, you go through that much more stuff. We're a great couple. We're doing our best. She's giving me all the time that she should, and I can't wait for this Monday to show what we've been working on," he added.

Rumors of a feud between the two first broke out earlier this month when Chmerkovskiy chose to skip out a performance with "DWTS" co-host Erin Andrews citing "personal issues" as the reason for the 37-year-old's absence. Thankfully for Lachey, eliminated pro dancer Alan Bersten filled in for her partner.

Insiders had revealed that the lack of chemistry is to blame and that while the two are pretending to be happy in front of the cameras, they constantly bicker off-cam. However, a few days after his absence, Chmerkovskiy took to Twitter to apologize to his partner and taking full responsibility for what has happened.

Ever since then, things seemed to have gotten between Chmerkovskiy and Lachey, and the two were even pictured giving each other a warm hug after rehearsals.

Furthermore, Lachey in an interview with Us Weekly, Vanessa Lachey says that "everything is great" between her and Chmerkovskiy.

In contrast to the two, Vanessa's husband, Nick, was also on the show and is partnered up with Maks' wife, Peta Murgatroyd. However, despite their good relationship, both were eliminated on last Monday night's episode.
