'Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite' Series News News: Which Characters Are Missing From Roster?

"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" is the latest installment of the popular video game series.

Just like its predecessors, with the first one dating back to 1994, "Infinite" is a team-based fighting game that showcases characters from Marvel and Capcom properties. Since it is already the ninth one, fans are expecting for more of their favorite characters to be included in the roster. However, there are still a lot of these characters that have not made the cut.

According to Den of Geek, some of the characters that have not made it to the roster in any of the "Marvel vs. Capcom" installments include Daredevil, Blanka, Carnage, Sagat, The Sentry, Vision, The Punisher, Loki, Luke Cage, Songbird, Namor, and Trojan.

Meanwhile, Capcom has confirmed the first few characters that will be coming to the installment.

"We know there has been much speculation on who the remaining four DLC characters will be, and we are happy to announce that Monster Hunter, Winter Soldier, Black Widow and the shape-shifting Venom will all be battling their way into Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite later this year," the company revealed in a statement, as reported by US Gamer.

The mentioned characters will join the previously announced DLC characters, Black Panther and Sigma.

The publication also reported that those who purchased the Deluxe Edition of "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will get all of the six mentioned characters, as well as costumes for heroes like Captain Marvel, Hulk, Thor, Ryu, and Mega Man X.

However, while there is a lot of excitement for those who have been playing "Marvel vs. Capcom" video games for years, several reviews of "Infinite" are leaning on the negative side.

Aurich Lawson of Ars Technica said in a review that the combos in the game are quite exaggerated and that there are way too many particle effects flying around.

A review by Chelsea Stark and Jeff Ramos posted on Polygon also called this installment the "ugly duckling" in the series, saying that it has questionable design choices from trying to break from the franchise's norm.

To those who would like to try the game themselves, "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
