Meizu is not unknown in the mobile world, especially in China and Asia where it has focused its market strategy. However, it is definitely not satisfied being referred to as "another Chinese phone maker." And so, just months after releasing the first M1 Note, the company is reportedly working on the device's successor.

According to a report by GSM Arena, a new leak has surfaced showing the unannounced device placed beside the M1 Note.

While there are not a lot of things we know yet about the Meizu M1 Note 2, at least the leak has more or less given us an idea how it would look like.

In the report, the Android-powered handset is rumored to get a fingerprint scanner based on the new redesigned look of its home button.

However, the leaked image showed that there is no software that supports this rumor. Further, the report stated that the change in the home button could just be an aesthetic decision.

In addition, the Meizu M1 Note 2 will reportedly run on the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop skinned by the manufacturer's very own Flyme OS.

For fans of the first edition M1 Note, there is also some good news about its successor's price tag. In the report, the Meizu M1 Note 2 will allegedly retain its CNY 999 price tag, which roughly translates to $161.
