Michael Madsen Arrested After Alleged Fight With Son

Actor Charged With Child Endangerment, Cruelty to a Child

Actor Michael Madsen, known for his roles in "Thelma and Louise," "Reservoir Dogs" and opposite Uma Thurman in the "Kill Bill" movies, was arrested this past Friday evening for an alleged fight with this son.

Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the star's Malibu, Calif., home. Reuters reports that Madsen was charged with child endangerment and cruelty to a child, which are felony charges. He was released Sunday morning on a $100,000 bail.

TMZ reports that police responded to a domestic disturbance call after the 54-year-old actor got in a physical altercation with his teenage son. His son's age is not being released at this time. As a result of their row, the teenager did not require medical attention, but he was injured. The Los Angles police department released a statement, which said that when police arrived the "Kill Bill" star seemed to be under the influence of alcohol.

Madsen is the father of five sons. He had two sons with his second wife, Jeannine Bisignano. With his current wife, Deanna Morgan, the big screen actor has three sons.

Madsen's lawyer Perry Wander told TMZ that the movie star "found his son smoking pot and they got in an argument when he tried to take it away. It's a family matter and Michael asks that his families privacy be respected."

Upon his release, TMZ asked Madsen for a statement, and the "Reservoir Dogs" star told them "everything's fine." When pressed for more information Michael Madsen reportedly said the incident was "a big misunderstanding."

This is not the first time 54-year-old Madsen has had trouble with the law regarding his children, however it is the first time he has been booked for alleged violence toward them. In 2011, Madsen failed to report to court for a hearing in his child support case, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He has also had trouble with child support payments, as in 2011 he allegedly owed $570,00 in child support.
