Microsoft Lumia 735 Specs, Release Date: Entry-Level Handset Appears in FCC, Will Make Its Way to Verizon Soon

Microsoft may be lagging behind in the mobile market competition, but it does not mean that the company is not doing anything.

In a recent report by GSM Arena, a Lumia device has surfaced in the US FCC website, and is reportedly bound for Verizon.

According to the report, the Windows Phone smartphone is the Microsoft Lumia 735, which was announced earlier this year.

While other countries already have the WP-powered handset, the phone has not yet arrived in the US. However, due to the FCC listing, it may not take long.

The Microsoft Lumia 735 boasts some respectable specs for an entry level handset such as a 4.7-inch OLED display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution, a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, and an 8GB of built in memory.

Other specs include a 6.7MP primary shooter with a ZEISS lens, an f/1.9 aperture, and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls. For those who are wondering, the midrange level camera specs are aimed at cameraphone and selfie enthusiasts.

Based on the report, the device was said to come with the Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2, although it is still unclear whether Verizon's version will ship with the latest version.

Like other WP smartphones announced by Microsoft, the Lumia 735 is also expected to get the latest Windows 10 update, although it may not be the priority right now.
