'Middle-Earth: Shadow of War' Latest News: New Live-Action Trailer Released
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is pulling all the stops in order to get everyone hooked into the new "Middle-Earth: Shadow of War."
Just recently, a new trailer for "Middle-Earth: Shadow of War" has been released, and it features an all-new live-action cinematic which is quite similar to the Peter Jackson films based on the J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" series.
As of late, live action trailers have become rather popular. In fact, not too long ago, "Destiny 2" released a trailer that would make avid gamers drool. Even Bethesda has gotten into the live action trailer trend, releasing cinematic trailers for "Skyrim," "Fallout 4," and "Dishonored 2."
While not really doing anything to show actual gameplay footage, cinematic live-action trailers or commercials give a great sense of what it feels like for players to be in the actual game. Directed by Neil Huxley (Charlotte's Web and Avatar), the trailer shows the main hero of the story, Talion, battling his way through an army of orcs and other enemy warriors.
With this new live-action trailer, Neil Huxley, along with Fabian Wagner, had inevitably become the first person since Peter Jackson to handle a live-action adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings."
"All of what you're seeing is in camera, apart from dragons and giant trolls and the larger creatures that we obviously can't pull off practically," Huxley reveals. What he was pertaining to included the fortress. It was filmed on location at a ruin in Odessa, and the team digitally expanded this in post-production.
He also revealed that real actors portrayed the orcs instead of using CGI and it was never a question for him to do so.
Just last week, a trailer showcasing the all-new Feral tribe of orcs was released, and now, fans of "Middle-Earth" finally got to see something that would truly excite them.
"Middle-Earth: Shadow of War" is scheduled to come out on Oct. 10.
