Miss USA Crush on Prince Harry: 'We're Meant To Be'

Miss USA Nana Meriwether echoed the very sentiments many American women have voiced following Prince Harry's tour of the U.S. this week.

The 28-year-old British royal just wrapped up his visit on Wednesday, but saw stops in Washington D.C., Colorado, New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut.

It was in New York City that the 27-year-old beauty queen got to meet Harry during a fundraising reception at the Four Seasons Restaurant.

Meriwether, who is six feet tall, reportedly "giggled" when learning that Prince Harry is 6-foot-2.

"Perfect," the beauty queen told Us Weekly. "We are meant to be! Miss USA is like royalty in America so it'll be a pleasure to meet him."

Furthermore, Meriwether asked if Harry was single before noting, "It would make a great story- we should totally get married."

Alas, the beauty queen was unable to grab Harry's attention. As the guest of honor, a crowd of 200 people at the event flanked the royal.

Meanwhile, Harry has been met with warm receptions across the U.S. during his six-day stay.

Last Thursday, the prince was introduced to First Lady Michelle Obama before visiting wounded vets at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. In the days following, Harry flew to Colorado, where he participated in the Warrior Games.

"He is a soldiers' soldier and will bring a spotlight on what's being done to help these outstanding men and women," said Harry's private secretary, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton during a Palace briefing in March.

Harry's next stop was in New Jersey where he surveyed the damage in the area from Hurricane Sandy alongside Gov. Chris Christie.

Then, before heading back to the U.K. and ending his trip, Prince Harry visited NYC and then traveled to Greenwich, Conn. on Wednesday to participate in a polo match. The event earned $1 million for his charity, Sentebale.

Harry is the second grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II. He is third in line to the British throne behind his father, Prince Charles, and older brother, Prince William.
