When Lorraine Walls learned that her 12-year-old daughter Luticia had planned a fight on Facebook and gotten suspended from school for it, she went on the social network to teach her a lesson.

On a video she posted, Walls questions Luticia about creating a fake Facebook page – she'd already been forbidden twimce from using the site – and has her declare on-camera that she's not allowed be on Facebook or have a boyfriend. The Milwaukee mom then has her daughter show that she's reading her Bible, currently Psalm 1, and paraphrases it.

Many commenters online are applauding Walls' tough stance.

"Praise The Lord this is what we need more parents taking the responsibility of being good parents seriously. Short term pain for long term gain," said Lise Burley of South Porcupine, Ontario.

However, some take issue with her warnings that she'll be "beating the hell out of her" if she finds Luticia is back on Facebook again.

Aimee Cunningham commented, "I haven't had to resort to public humiliation or threats of beatings to get my 14 year old son to be obedient....Kids are people too!"

Walls defended her video, saying that exposing her daughter the way she did is helpful in the end, and that's what's important.

"I'm not out to hurt Luticia," she said to CBS 58. "I want her to live. I want her to be somebody."
