Montreal Canadiens vs New York Rangers Live Stream Free: Watch NHL 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs Eastern Conference Final Game 3 Online
The Montreal Canadiens will play the New York Rangers on Thursday night in Game 3 of their NHL 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs Eastern Conference Finals series. The Canadiens were trounced on their home ice, and now they must go on the road to Madison Square Garden to get the business done if they are to get through to the Stanley Cup Final this year. The game will start at 8 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the NBC network or online through free live stream (details below).
The Rangers will know they have a great opportunity tonight to put one foot in the Stanley Cup 2014 Final. They come into Game 3 having destroyed the Canadiens in Game 1, and then following that up with a solid performance and win in Game 2.
As a massive bonus, those two games took place in Montreal, and now they return home to try and claim a win in Game 3 that would put them 3-0 up and one more win away from the Stanley Cup 2014 Final.
There is a massive difference between being 3-0 up and 2-1 up, and the Rangers will not want to let go of the momentum they've built up over the first two games. Not many expected them to claim two road wins in Games 1 and 2, and they have exceeded expectations to return back to New York with a 2-0 lead in the series.
However, they are by no means there yet, and a loss today could swing things back the Canadiens way.
In Game 1 the Rangers completely wiped the ice with the Canadiens. Montreal played much better in Game 2, which was an entirely different affair, however, the result was the same. The Rangers maintained the intensity of their performance and claimed a second straight win over the Canadiens.
If they can maintain that form for two more games they could sweep this series and have some rest time before the Championship Game.
