'Mortal Kombat XL' Update: Coming with Enhanced Online Gameplay, Kombat Pack 1 & Kombat Pack 2

Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios are all set and ready to release the repackaged version of their fighting video game "Mortal Kombat X." According to a report by PlayStation Lifestyle, "Mortal Kombat XL" will arrive on Tuesday, March 1 in all current-gen consoles. The list found on the Xbox website shows that the game will have a price tag of $59.99, which will also cost the same thing for the PS4.

And since the game is nearing its release date, creative director Ed Boon revealed that "Mortal Kombat XL" will be introduced with improved online gameplay. Boon made the announcement via his Twitter account wherein he wrote, "Thanks to all your feedback, Mortal Kombat XL will come w/ the enhanced online gameplay functioning on day one! Have Good Games & Peace out!"

The decision to include an enhanced online gameplay functioning is a result of the success of the beta of the game. For those who are not aware yet of the "Mortal Kombat XL," Toms Guide reported that the upcoming version is a huge re-release of the hit "Mortal Kombat" game. It comes with the core game along with all the downloadable content that have hit store shelves since the game first launched in April 2015.

The bundle details also revealed that it will be packed with the game's major expansion packs, Kombat 1 and Kombat 2. The latter is yet to be released and it will come along with new playable characters that include the Xenomorph from "Alien," Leatherface from "Texas Chainsaw Massacre," Tri-borg, and Bo'Rai Cho.

Aside from that, there will be new skin packs such as Medieval Pack, Apocalypse Pack, and a new environment, which is the Pit Stage. The other skins that were previously released will also be included in the bundle. For those who will be pre-ordering "Mortal Kombat XL," they will get the Cosplay Pack. This will let female fighters Cassie Cage and Jacqui Briggs don on the costume of Sub-Zero and Scorpion.
