Mother Arrested After Abandoning Freezing Daughters at Busy Intersection
A mother has been arrested after dumping her two young daughters at a busy Brooklyn intersection in icy conditions.
Dalisha Adams, 26, of Brooklyn drove 3-year-old Dioni and 5-year-old Domini to Bayview Housing Projects on Shore Parkway before forcing them out, each carrying a few extra diapers and finally sped off, according to the New York Daily News.
The frightened girls were spotted by a witness who immediately called police, looking after them until police arrived.

"Mommy just left us on the sidewalk and drove away," a shivering Domini told a photographer.
It is unclear why Adams abandoned her girls but she has reportedly been charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
According to sources the girls appeared to be in good condition after undergoing physical exams at Brookdale University Hospital.
The girls' 52-year-old grandmother, Bertha Davia, insisted that Adams actions were not criminal and that the situation was likely one big misunderstanding although witnesses were not convinced.
"She was always yelling at the kids, "Shut the f*** up," one of Adams' neighbors told the Daily News.
"One day, I heard her curse out the little baby, 'I'll punch you in the f***ing face,'" the source added.
The woman, whose name has been withheld, said that she heard Adams verbally abusing the two girls on Sunday shortly before they were dumped on the streets.
"A kid was crying. She was saying, 'Stop crying, shut the f*** up. I'm gonna get you out of here,'" the woman said.
The woman's claims were consistent with surrounding neighbors, many of which claimed that they often witnessed Adams getting physical with the girls, according to reports.
Both girls are said to be fine and currently in the custody of Administration for Children's Services. Davia is urging authorities to place the children in her custody.
"[Delisha] left them on the corner here...And they was roaming the hallways and all that. Why would she do that to my grandkids? For what reason?" a frustrated Davia said.
