Moto G 2 Version Specs and Image Leaked
A Moto G 2 model could be launching soon as specs and an image of what is said to be the device leaked earlier this week.
A Spain-based website known as Mallando no Android posted an image up of a device that is labeled the Motorola XT1068. The site claims that this is the codename for the next-gen Moto G.
It also shared some spec information on the handset claiming it would feature a quad-core ARM v7 processor with Adreno 305 GPU, a 1280 x 720 display with 320 ppi, and 8-megapixel rear camera and a dual-SIM.
This would not make the second-generation model that different from the current one as the display will be made slightly bigger and the camera will gain 3-megapixels. There is also a rumor going around that states that this is a totally new model that will sit in between the Moto G and Moto X with its specs.
Tecnoblog reports that the Brazilian Equivalent of the FCC has certified three variants of this device with the code numbers XT1063, XT1068 and XT1069. A rumored name for this line is the Moto M. This site seems to have a different perspective on the XT1068 model.
Motorola has not confirmed the existence of either a Moto G 2 or Moto M at this time. The company is gearing up to launch its Moto X+1 sometime in Aug.
A video leaked onto the internet this month that displayed a device that could have been the Moto X+1 running Android 5.0 "L" version software.
The smartphone was slightly larger than the Nexus 5 which comes with a 4.95-inch display. It also featured a masking tape overcoat to hide identifying markings that could incriminate the person who made the video.
