Naruto Ends November With Release of Final Manga Volume
The popular Japanese manga series, "Naruto" is coming to an end this November after its 15-year run with Weekly Shonen Jump. The final installment of the manga will be making its appearance on Nov. 10.
"Naruto" was created by Masashi Kishimoto and first appeared in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1999. It's final appearance with the same publication makes sense with the series finally coming full circle.
"This is truly cause for celebration and will no doubt give the world pause to fondly remember their favorite moments from the story. But don't worry – the graphic novels are still coming out and the anime has a long way to go. The story in the manga is coming to a conclusion, but the world of 'Naruto' is still going strong!" Viz Media, the American publisher, wrote on their website.
The "Naruto" manga series follows the story of Uzumaki Naruto as he tries to become the leading ninja in his village. It already has 70 volumes in print and the final 71st volume to go on sale next month.
"Naruto" is one of the most popular manga and anime series in Japan, with its popularity spreading wordwide. More than 130 million copies of the manga has been printed in Japan with more than 75 million in print overseas. It has been turned into many media formats like anime, OVAs, game adaptations, and films.
