The happy news comes eight and a half years after Bedingfield tied the knot with Robinson in a romantic ceremony at the Church Estates Vineyards in Malibu. In a statement at the time of her wedding, Bedingfield said their union was "simple, beautiful and natural." She mentioned that it was a laid-back and intimate ceremony that focused more on the pair's love for each other as they exchanged vows in front of their loved ones.

Bedingfield has always been vocal about her desire of being a mother. Speaking with The Sun about her pregnancy announcement, the blonde beauty explained that experiencing the beauty of motherhood is one of her aspirations in life. Now that her baby bump is getting bigger, Bedingfield admitted that the idea of her becoming a mother soon is slowly "sinking in."

"I'm so excited to embrace this huge life-change. And Matt is super supportive," she added.

Bedingfield rose to popularity in 2005 after she released her first album titled "Unwritten." Aside from the title track, the single "These Words" also made it to the official U.K. Top 40 hits. It was followed by more hit songs in 2008, including "Love Like This" and "Pocketful of Sunshine." Her most recent project was a tour with Train and O.A.R. which kicked off in May and ended in July.
