Meanwhile, Los Angeles Clippers big man Blake Griffin is expected to be sidelined for two weeks after suffering a partially torn quadriceps tendon.

In a report by the Los Angeles Times, Griffin suffered the said injury on Friday, during the Clippers' 94-84 victory against the Lakers. In the middle of the 2014 NBA regular season, Griffin was also sidelined for five weeks, after suffering a staph infection on his right elbow.

In a separate report by ESPN, Griffin still finished the game with a decent output, racking up 13 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists in 36 minutes of action. An additional statement from the Clippers' team management also revealed that Griffin would once again be re-evaluated after the two-week period that was given to him.

For the current season, Griffin is averaging 23.2 points per game, 8.7 rebounds, and 5.0 assists. The Clippers are now slated to play against the Washington Wizards at the Verizon Center on Monday night.
