NBA Rumors 2015: Cavs Fan With '2015 Champs' Tattoo Updates It To '2016', Knicks' Cleanthony Early Robbed, Shot Outside Strip Club
A die-hard Cleveland Cavaliers supporter took his fanaticism to a whole new level when he decided to have it inked on his skin for the rest of his life.
Twitter user Pull Up King (@Lonniedoe) first placed a tattoo on his arm with the words "2015 NBA Champs" and the image of a hand holding the NBA championship trophy. The background image had the Cavaliers' trademark "C" logo.
It did not take long before the Internet took notice of it. NBA on TNT's official Twitter account posted the photo of Pull Up King's tattoo bearing the caption "RT if you had a better year than this guy..." The said tweet was implying the loss of the Cavaliers to Warriors in the 2015 NBA Finals.
The said social media post garnered enough attention that it even managed to reach Pull Up King himself. Pull Up King did offer a response. This time, he posted a photo of an "updated" version of his tattoo, bearing the words "2016 NBA Champs" instead.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are currently situated at the top of the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 21-9.
Meanwhile, New York Knicks forward Cleanthony Early was robbed and shot in the knee while leaving a Queens strip club, early Wednesday morning. In a report by the New York Times, a group of armed men ganged up on Early's Uber car and also stole the NBA player's necklaces and gold caps for his teeth.
For Early's teammate Carmelo Anthony, while he says there is nothing wrong for athletes to enjoy the city's nightlife and have a little fun, it is still important to have the responsibility of being on the more careful side.
"I go out and have a good time with friends and family," Anthony said. "But I think we have to do a better job of being more safe and putting ourselves in safe environments."
In another report by CNN, no arrests have been made.
