NBA Trade Rumors 2017: Celtics Interested in Getting Jahlil Okafor; Detroit Pistons Check in on Eric Bledsoe Sweepstakes

The 2017–2018 NBA season's trade deadline is not until February but some names have already been surfacing in the rumor mill.

Following an offseason in which many high-profile players switched teams, latest trade rumors suggest the next year will be an active year of movement. Reports note that Jahlil Okafor recently requested a buyout from the Philadelphia 76ers. However, the team does not want to part ways without getting anything in return.

Teams are not willing to give up anything of great importance to get him because he will eventually be an unrestricted free agent this summer. One of the teams trying to get Okafor is the Boston Celtics, which has long hold interest in the 21-year-old. Unfortunately, an official deal has yet to be laid out since the Celtics has no plans to give a first-round pick to the Sixers in exchange to Okafor.

Meanwhile, Eric Bledsoe has been another subject of trade rumors in the recent weeks due to his post on social media in October. The Phoenix Suns player tweeted "I Dont wanna be here," leading many to suspect he will be moving on to another team soon.

Bleacher Report notes the Detroit Pistons is the latest organization to show interest in getting Bledsoe. It joins the long list of teams previously linked to the Alabama native, which includes the New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets, Milwaukee Bucks and more.

While the 27-year-old is one of the Suns' top assets, it seems there is a sense of urgency on the team's part to trade him since Bledsoe is no longer giving them value. Phoenix Suns general manager Ryan McDonough said there is no timetable for a deal, though, as they are still waiting for offers.

"We are open to doing a deal whenever the best offer presents itself," he stated. "Any other comments or thoughts from me would be pure speculation at this point."
