'NCIS: New Orleans' Spoilers: Recap for Episode 15 'Le Carnivale de la Mort'
Last Tuesday's episode of "NCIS: New Orleans" sees a petty officer getting murdered during Mardi Gras, and the team investigates which parties and parades may have led to his death.
"Le Carnivale de la Mort" begins with the locals and tourists taking to the streets of New Orleans to celebrate Mardi Gras. But everything is not all fun and games as Petty Officer Toussaint Patrice was found dead. His money and wedding ring are still on him, so the NCIS team rules out robbery.
According to Toussaint's widow, her husband was a recovering alcoholic and that he has been behaving oddly days before he was found dead. She says that when he left, she thought that he may have gone somewhere to drink. Security cameras show that Toussaint was stabbed even before he made it to a party.
Later, more security footage shows Toussaint, bleeding from his stab wounds as he made his way through the revelers on the street. Strangely, everybody seems to be ignoring him though it's obvious that he's been hurt.
The team finds out that Touissant was part of a drug ring. He met a man named Cyd at the clinic, and Cyd was part of a large organization. The crew was about to pull off their biggest drug heist yet, but at the last minute Touissant wanted out. The crew, fearing that he might rat them out, tells Cyd to take care of the problem.
It appears that Cyd found out which hotel Touissant was staying in with his wife and killed him. The FBI finds his prints, and Cyd confesses to doing the crime.
"NCIS: New Orleans" airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on CBS.
