Netflix April 2017 New Movies, TV Shows: 'Tropic Thunder,' 'Schindler's List'
Netflix recently released the full list of television shows and movies it will be making available for streaming starting Saturday, April 1.
According to Just Jared, the list is quite extensive, featuring some fan-favorite shows and films as well as many Netflix Originals that are scheduled to arrive throughout the month.
For example, on April 1 alone, there are more than a dozen films slated to be made available on the online streaming service. Some of them are the 1984 movie "A Nightmare on Elm Street," the award-winning 1993 film "Schindler's List," and 2008's "Tropic Thunder" which starred Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr.
TV shows such as the first season of "Wynonna Earp" and the second season of "Good Witch" will also be available on Netflix on the same day.
Several Netflix Originals are also scheduled to be released this April. "Chewing Gum" season 2 and "Louis C.K. 2017" will be released on April 4, while "El Faro De Las Orcas," "Dawn of the Croods" season 3, "The Get Down: Part 2" and "Win It All" will be available starting April 7.
Around halfway through the month of April, the second season of "Chelsea," "Mystery Science Teacher 3000: The Return," "Sandy Wexler" and "Slam" will be launched on Netflix.
By April 21, aside from the 2006 movie "The Prestige," Netflix will also unveil several original productions which include the first season of "Bill Nye Saves the World," season 1 of "Girlboss," the fourth season of "The Mr. Peabody & Sherman Show" and original Netflix movies such as "Sand Castle" and "Tramps."
Before the end of April, original Netflix films such as "Rodney King" and "Small Crimes" will be released, while new series such as "Las Chicas del Cable" and "Dear White People" will also be made available for binge-watching.
Though a lot of new movies and TV shows will be released starting April, this also means some shows will be removed from the online streaming platform. Netflix subscribers will have to bid farewell to TV shows like "House," "Bones," "Ally McBeal," and many more.
