New Christian Horror Film 'Final: The Rapture' to Feature Book of Revelation, Jesus Christ's Return (TRAILER VIDEO)
Another entry to the Year of the Bible in movies is here in the form of "Final: The Rapture" from the married team of director-writer Tim Chey and producer Susan Chey.
"It's a Christian horror movie," Tim told the Orlando Sentinel. "The Christian community loves the film because they believe in the Book of Revelation, when Christ returns. Atheists love the film from a horror standpoint."
The "Final" website describes the film:
Breathtaking, gripping, layered, and astonishing, FINAL: THE RAPTURE is a gritty, international tale of four separate stories woven together by a common theme: the Rapture.
The producers' goal is higher than just turning a profit on the $10 million project, which filmed in six countries.
"We're trying to share this so their eyes will be opened…" said Susan. "So people go home with hope."
The film is an adaption of Tim's novel "Final." It premiered in Houston in September, and after waiting out the crowded Christmas film season, the PG-13 drama comes to Orlando and Melbourne, Fla. this weekend. Showtimes for other cities are yet to be announced.
