'New Game!' Season 3 Release Date News: Slice Of Life Anime Could Return Summer Next Year
Anime production studio Doga Kobo has yet to announce a release date for the third season of "New Game!" which is a slice of life anime. However, there is a reasonable chance that it will premiere during the summer anime season next year, that is of the studio decides to produce it.
The series delves into the world of video game creation, specifically character design. It was popular enough for collab cafes, train stickers, and of course another season. Following the trend in animes, a second season is already a godsend.
The story follows Aoba Suzukaze, an artist lucky enough to go from high school to a job at her favorite games creator, Eagle Jump. Like normal youngsters who try to act professionial, she hits a few bumps on her first day which pretty much set the premise of the series.

"New Game!" is for those who want a cute story with fan references. Artists will also appreciate the personalities and situations presented in the anime.
Judging from the series' popularity going into its second season, a third could be a possibility especially if the DVD and Blu-Ray releases garner tons of sales. If a third season is in order, previous releases point to a summer 2018 release date.
The anime's second season is already halfway through and episode 12 may give audiences a hint at the exact time frame. Still, Doga Kobo might announce the series' return as early as spring next year.
This is a very optimistic prediction, however, given that the series has already caught up with the original source. Unless Shoutarou Tokunou puts out a few volumes out before the year is out, fans might not get a third season in the near future.
