The Rangers have done fantastically well to have come back from 1-3 down in the series to level things at 3-3.
Going into just last weekend things looked bleak for the Rangers, and not many held out much hope of them being able to turn this series around, but they have rebounded in a big way.
Two straight victories for New York means that they now have the opportunity to claim one more win and progress to the Conference final. However, to do so they must defeat the Penguins on the road at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Just on Friday the Rangers were facing elimination, but were saved when Derick Brassard dragged them back into the series. He of course scored the overtime winner in Game 1, but he managed to score two more on Friday as well as claim an assist to help the Rangers to a morale boosting and potentially series saving 5-1 win.
That massive win was in Pittsburgh, and then for Game 6 the Rangers were tested once again on Sunday at Madison Square Garden. Once again they restricted the Penguin to a solitary goal in a 3-1 win that set up today's encounter.
Rangers' captain Martin St Louis has been the inspiration for the team, and of course he scored the goal to cap off their Game 6 win. They will also look to him again tonight for inspiration to finish the job in this make or break Game 7.
