Iran's coach Carlos Queiroz has seemingly tried to take all pressure off his team ahead of their clash with Nigeria today. He has labeled his team massive underdogs and even tried to build Nigeria up as potential World Cup winners for this year's tournament.

Queiroz has said his team are at a "complete disadvantage" due to international sanctions imposed on the country.

However, not many will believe his billing of Nigeria as potential World Cup finalists, although within Group F, most would probably say they are favorites to beat Iran and Bosnia to second spot and qualify for the Round of 16.

Nigeria has often been considered an African powerhouse on the international football stage, however, they have disappointed when it comes to World Cups.

In fact both of these teams have not won a World Cup game for 16 years, a dry spell dating all the way back to the 1998 World Cup in France.

In 1998, Nigeria managed to defeat Bulgaria in a group match, however, since then they have had a torrid time on the international stage. In South Africa in the 2010 World Cup they managed just two draws and a loss, as they crashed out at the group stages with just two points from their three games. They will be desperate to improve upon their recent showings, and with Group F being considered as the easiest group at this year's World Cup they have a great opportunity to win some games and even make the knock out rounds.
