Nintendo Announces New Update for 'Arms' Coming This Month
Nintendo announced an upcoming update for the Switch game "Arms."
During the Nintendo World Championships, a trailer for "Arms" was unveiled featuring a couple of exciting new things to come to the game once the update happens. One of the new features of "Arms" version 3.2 is the badge system that would work the same way as achievements do.
The badge system will work in a similar way to the Playstation's trophies and the Xbox's achievements. This will be done to give players more incentives so that they would strive to play at the best of their abilities.
Not only that but at the end of the trailer, "Arms" also teased a possible new character. The said character bears a striking resemblance to Spring Man. It is also possible that the character is an upgraded version of Spring Man. If the latter happens to be the case then the game may be implementing a new costume system. So far, it has not been confirmed if there will be a new character or a costume system.
Some of the features coming with the update would include an all-new strategic gameplay that would make use of simple motion and button controls, a team versus mode which would allow more players to join in on the action and a variety of game modes. These game modes would transform the game into a cross between sports like basketball or volleyball or even an endless mode featuring 100 enemies that with each wave gets even stronger.
A new mix-and-match system may come into play once the update arrives. This will allow players access to an enhanced selection of characters and equip them with various arms in order to provide effective and strategic gameplay.
No date has been given as to when the update would occur, but it is expected that it may happen sometime this month.
