Nokia 7, Nokia 8 Specs Rumors: Powered by SnapDragon 660 and Carl Zeiss Lenses?
After the company's official announcement of its new line of phones including the Nokia 6, 5, 3 and a revamp of the popular 3310, Nokia is expected to release yet a new set of phones which are speculated to be the Nokia 7 and 8.
No official announcement or details have been heard from Nokia as of the moment, but several speculations and supposed leaks are circulating about Nokia 7 and Nokia 8's specs and features once they come out.
These include the speculation that both phones will be powered by a SnapDragon 660 chipset, and their camera lenses will be developed by Carl Zeiss (for those who remember, Carl Zeiss lenses were used by Nokia to develop its phone cameras from its previous line of mobile models such as the Nokia N90 and N95).
Surprisingly, Nokia's newly released phones - such as the Nokia 6 and 5 - did not sport Carl Zeiss lens cameras, though there is no telling that the company might bring them back for future models.
Between the two, however, the Nokia 7 is expected to be targeted for the middle class segment while the Nokia 8 will be positioned as a high-end phone.
Speculations further suggest that both phones will sport a 6GB worth of RAM with a 4GB internal storage capacity. The only difference between two is their size and display quality wherein the Nokia 7 will sport a lower resolution of 1080p. Both phones are also said to come with a fingerprint scanner and a fast-charging ability.
In addition, both the Nokia 7 and 8 are expected to come in a metallic unibody design, and it will already be equipped with the Android Nougat as its operating system.
No release date is confirmed yet, but enthusiasts speculate that Nokia might unveil both phones in May. It might also be released first in the United Kingdom before it launches worldwide (as with the new line of Nokia phones). An estimated retail price is unavailable as of the moment.
