Nokia C1 Rumors: Is Nokia Finally Staging A Comeback?

Now that the Finnish company, Nokia, has been freed from its legal bonds after Microsoft bought the mobile company in 2014, rumors are already spreading that the company is planning to make a comeback. Specifically, rumors about a new phone called the Nokia C1 are saying that this may be Nokia's ticket to its re-entry in the mobile phone business.

According to a Tech Times report, images of the rumored device have been circulating online, featuring the traditional boxy look that Nokia is known for. The device also seems to be made of all-metal, which the report said looks like the HTC One series. It is also reported to have the same M-like antenna bands at the back of the device.

The leaked image also showed the device with the "Nokia" brand on the back of the phone. The device's display size however was not indicated in any of the leaks, but it is expected to be between 5 to 5.5 inches.

Other rumors however show a smaller device colored black and gray which is dubbed Nokia 235. According to reports, the device looks to be going back to "Nokia's feature phone roots." It looks like an old Nokia phone with an alpha-numeric keyboard, a 2.8-inch screen, dual SIM support and running on the Asha operating system. It is also speculated that the phone will still have long battery life that Nokia is known for.

Given the phone's reported features, this may turn out to be an affordable phone which is expected to cost around $75. Nokia is also reported to be coming out with three Android smartphone models this year, which will come in 5 inches, 5.5 inches, and 6 inches.

Nokia has been recently released from their non-compete clause when it expired on December 31, 2015.

A recent promotional video has been released which featured the company's newest set of devices. The first one is the Nokia OZO which is a virtual reality camera system for professional use, which is said to be a first in the world. The video also featured a large tablet and three phones.
