Noodling Catfish? Texas Teen Wrestles 72 Pound Catfish to Win Competition (PHOTO, VIDEO)

A noodling competition has led a teen to capture a catfish with her bare hands.

The noodling competition in Oklahoma was won by the Texas teenager, who secured the amazing catfish capture.

According to reports, Lucy Millsap, 19, won the 14th Annual Okie Noodling Festival after capturing a 72-pound catfish using no nets, rods or hooks, but simply her own determination and athleticism.

After her amazing win Millsap explained that she had been doing the same thing since she was about five years old, but that this was her first official competition.

The teen's extraordinary accomplishment saw her beat out about 200 other competitors at the noodling event.

Millsap pulled the massive 72 pound catfish from Lake Texoma on Saturday, and afterwards when asked what she planned to do with her catch, she suggested it most likely would become dinner.

The girl won the competition after entering, representing a special hand-fishing club known as "Bare Knuckle Babies."

However, not everyone was celebrating with Millsap, and some fellow competitors were angry that a girl from Texas had managed to win the competition over locals. Millsap told Tulsa World: "Men would walk by and say slurs in my ear, say 'You couldn't catch that by yourself.' I had men go so far as to curse and cuss at me and stuff."

However, despite the criticism she remained proud, explaining: "I thought, 'Really? How big was the fish you weighed in? Thirty pounds? I thought so. Nice to meet you, too."

Millsap's win saw her pocket the huge catfish as well as $1,500 in prize money.
