'Once Upon a Time' Season 4 Spoilers: Elsa Finally Revealed!
"Once Upon a Time" finally has its newest leading lady: Queen Elsa from Disney's "Frozen." The news just broke that Australian actress Georgina Haig will portray the Ice Queen in the newest season of "Once Upon a Time."
Haig currently stars on CBS' series "Reckless," which has finished filming and the actress is ready to begin working on "Once." She will join fellow actors Scott Michael Foster, who will portray Kristoff, and Elizabeth Lail, who will portray her sister, Anna. The three will find themselves among the regular cast in Storybrooke and have several obstacles to overcome.
According to Variety, the three will appear after Elsa has frozen her kingdom in an eternal winter and Anna teaches her that love is actually the best way for her to control her magical powers. But there are still other obstacles to overcome, such as Kristoff's never having lived indoors before and Elsa's still learning to control her magic.
"Once Upon a Time" picked up the trio after the smashing success of the Disney film and decided to bring the three most popular characters to Storybrooke for an all-new storyline. The question remains, though, will Elsa be a good queen or a slightly evil queen? Right now things are relatively calm for the residents of Storybrooke, given all that happened last year.
Snow White and Prince Charming welcomed their first son, Prince Neal. Emma and Hook decided to get together, while Regina finally gave her heart to Robin Hood. However, that was disrupted when Maid Marian returned. Will Regina go back to the dark side in order to get vengeance on Emma, who unknowingly brought Marian back to Storybrooke?
What other surprises await the residents? In addition to the members from "Frozen," another newcomer is scheduled to make his appearance in the town. The Knave (Will) from "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" will also join the cast, though it's not known what his role will be or how he will fit in in Storybrooke.
