'Once Upon a Time' Season 5 Midseason Premiere Spoilers: Emma's Journey to Save Hook in the Underworld Will Not Be Easy

Despite the danger ahead, Emma's (Jennifer Morrison) love for Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) will win, and she'll go beyond the world of the living to travel to the Underworld in order to bring her love back. However, rules also exist in the afterlife, and her mission will definitely not be easy.

After she failed to finally eliminate the Dark One's power, Emma's new mission is to bring Hook back from the Underworld, and according to the Hollywood Reporter, the realm of the dead is eerily similar to Storybrooke's. Fans got a sneak peek of this world in the midseason finale of "Once Upon a Time" season 5, and many wonder why both worlds are the same.

The website was able to chat with the show's creators and executive producers, Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, and the two teased that there is a specific reason behind it. However, the EPs declined to say what the exact reason is, and only gave a tiny clue. Horowitz said that Storybrooke and the Underworld look the same because of the people that Emma and the gang will meet there.

Bringing back Hook is going to be difficult as well, since surprisingly, there are specific rules in the Underworld. "The rules of the underworld — what it means to be there, whether you can leave, how you can leave, where you go…" Horowitz paused, but Kitsis picked up and said, "…Are going to be explained by our favorite, favorite tour guide of the underworld, and her name is Cora." Fans are curious who the said character is, and how she will come in between Emma and Hook in this realm.

Meanwhile, a familiar face will return in the second part of "Once Upon a Time" season 5, and it will be Milah (Rachel Shelley). No further details about her comeback were released yet, according to Entertainment Weekly, but fans already can't wait to see her return on the show.

"Once Upon a Time" will return on March 6 next year on ABC.
